Discipline and regular attendance are the foundation of academic success. We expect all students to strictly adhere to the following rules and regulations maintained by the school authorities.
A minimum of 80% attendance is compulsory. Thus, a student who does not obtain 80% attendance for a particular academic session shall not be permitted to appear in the annual examination nor shall he/she be eligible for promotion.
Leave to the pupil for absence is granted only on an application, addressed to the Principal submitted in advance (the same day or the next day in unavoidable circumstances) duly attested by the parent/guardian.
The period of absence with reason should also be recorded in the pupil’s diary by the parent with signature.
In case of illness, a medical certificate must be attached with the application. Long absence except in case of illness will not be granted, normally.
If a pupil remains absent from the school for three consecutive days from the day of reopening without forwarding a leave application in writing, his/her name will be struck off the rolls.
If absent for ten consecutive days without leave application, name will be removed. A fine of Rs.200/- will be imposed to restore the admission.
Attendance is compulsory on National holidays such as Independence Day, Republic Day and on special days such as Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Opening and Closing Day of the terms.
During school hours, pupils will not be allowed to go home or elsewhere. In case of some emergency, the parent of the student will have to come personally to take his ward and submit an application for the same.
Students must attend school in complete and proper uniform. Wearing the school ID card is mandatory at all times within the campus. Improper uniform may lead to disciplinary action.
Students must arrive at school at least 10 minutes before the morning assembly begins. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the premises without a valid reason.
